Sylvia Collinetti
Clinical Psychologist
Sylvia is a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience across the lifespan in both public mental health and private practice. She provides trauma-informed, developmentally attuned, and evidence-based care, guided by current neuroscience on trauma and attachment.
Sylvia guides clients to build self-compassion, process trauma, and lead meaningful lives. She draws on EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, DBT, and ACT tailoring interventions to each person’s developmental stage and goals.
Sylvia works with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with complex trauma, PTSD, dissociation, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, neurodivergence, gender identity, eating disorders, life transitions, grief, and family challenges. She has a special interest in early developmental trauma and its impacts in adult life.
Alongside private practice, Sylvia leads in public mental health - supervising psychologists and embedding trauma-informed, best-practice frameworks across the sector.
At the heart of Sylvia’s work is a trusting therapeutic relationship, grounded in compassion, curiosity and reflection. She helps clients understand how past experiences shape present patterns, empowering them to re-author their stories with insight and hope.
Sylvia consults at Chrysalis Allied Health on Wednesdays.
