Lucianne Grixti
Psychologist & Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
Lucianne values creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, reflective, emotionally attuned, and collaborative. She works particularly well with people who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and the emotional patterns that shape their lives.
Her work is grounded in the belief that emotional difficulties are meaningful and are best understood within the context of a person's relationships, life experiences, and inner world. Lucianne offers a confidential and respectful therapeutic space where people can explore emotional challenges with curiosity and care, supporting the development of greater self-understanding and lasting psychological change.
Lucianne works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties. She is committed to providing therapy that is individually tailored, thoughtful, and responsive to each person's unique circumstances and developmental needs.
She has completed formal postgraduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with children, adolescents, families, and adults, and is currently a psychoanalytic candidate with the Melbourne Institute for Psychoanalysis.
In addition to her clinical work, Lucianne is the owner and director of Chrysalis Allied Health. She has a particular interest in creating and sustaining thoughtful professional environments for mental health professionals working in private practice.
At Chrysalis Allied Health, her role is centered on the day-to-day stewardship of the clinic - maintaining a well-functioning, supportive, and respectful workplace that allows independent clinicians to carry out their work with autonomy, privacy, and care. She is committed to fostering a sense of community while preserving the independence that is central to private practice.
Lucianne offers limited consultations at Chrysalis Allied Health. She also offers consultations from Monday through to Friday from her consulting rooms on St Kilda Road in Melbourne, providing longer-term depth-oriented therapeutic work and psychoanalysis.
