Michelle Curmi
Psychologist
Michelle is an experienced Psychologist (AHPRA) with over 15 years of clinical experience. She has worked in a number of diverse counselling, drug and alcohol services, educational, crisis support, corporate and private enterprise settings. In her clinical setting, Michelle specializes in the treatment of anxiety, with diverse evidence-based knowledge centred around neuroscience, attachment theory, mindfulness, havening and ego-state therapy.
Michelle has extensive experience working with children, teenagers and adults assisting them with a range of complex issues, supporting them to navigate feelings of stress, anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression, to name a few. Michelle also has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and adults, as well as supporting parents to advocate for their neurodivergent children. Michelle uses a range of treatment approaches. She is extremely passionate about holistic wellness and incorporates Mindfulness into her humanistic approach. Michelle views mental health struggles from a whole person perspective and works to identify the underlying emotional causes and acknowledges the connection between mind and body. Michelle works collaboratively with clients, empowering them to heal, grow and supports them on their wellness journey.
Michelle’s passion lies in working collaboratively with people assisting them to reach their full potential by drawing on their strengths, bringing awareness to areas of growth, setting short- and long-term goals and creating motivation for change and improvement.
Michelle has worked with individuals and groups from all walks of life and varied positions within organisations and has a strong ability to connect and communicate with people at all levels.
Michelle is passionate about self-growth and life-long learning. In her spare time Michelle loves spending time with her teenage sons, animals, Bikram Yoga and being in nature.
Michelle consults at Chrysalis Allied Health on Mondays and Tuesdays.
