Jade McLoney
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
Jade is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 17 years’ experience working in mental health including humanitarian, non-government organisations (NGO) and the public mental health sector. Jade has over of 6 years’ experience working in therapy roles for Foundation House and Mercy Mental Health and private practice. Jade’s focus area is complex trauma, including sexual assault, family violence, workplace bullying, emotional neglect/abuse and refugee trauma. She also works effectively with people experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, and depressive symptoms. Jade utilises Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitising and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support her clients to process their trauma and build the stamina required to wisely navigate life’s most difficult experiences. She has a passionate interest in interpersonal neurobiology and how this impacts human behaviour and relationships with others. Jade’s counselling practice is instilled with a human rights framework and anti-oppressive values. Jade provides a safe, non-judgemental and compassionate space for people to rise above their difficulties and draw on their strengths and resources.
